Editorial Review

____

This is the first step for aspiring authors. An editorial review is similar to what happens in the acquisitions department. A manuscript or query comes in and one of the acquisition editors will read through it and decide if it’s something they’re interested in. In other words, if they’ll make money off of it. In the editorial review, we’ll read your manuscript cover to cover and then evaluate it based on the content. We’ll give you notes on areas that need improvement as well as your strengths. We’ll let you know what we think about the plot, the believability and likeability of your characters, and the overall quality of your writing. The editorial review gives an aspiring author just enough confidence to take their writing career to the next level.

During the editorial review, your manuscript is broken down into individual categories and analyzed.
